Founder

RetailX

Ian Jindal researches and analyses digital retail, with a focus on the sovereign consumer: the shift of power and choice to individual buyers, and what that means for brand and purpose. He founded RetailX.net to serve Europe's digital commerce community with insights and analysis, and created the UK500 performance ranking, tracking the country's leading online retailers. He also founded CustomerX.net, a cross-sector meeting of commercial leaders working to grow their share of the consumer's discretionary spend through collaboration, competition and copying.

Ian hosts the RetailCraft.net podcast, alongside a programme of executive networking, think tanks and dinners that turn conversation into peer-level intelligence for retail leaders.

Ian was Group eCommerce Director at Littlewoods Shop Direct, one of the UK's largest home shopping retailers, and Head of Online Operations at the BBC. He is a chartered accountant and technologist by training and authored the UK's first MSc in Internet Retailing.

Ian is a Trustee of the Crafts Council, the UK's national charity for craft, and an exhibiting photographer.
